when people say lol when it is not necessary and doesn’t make sense, just for the sake of it. why have it there at all?

i hate the situations i get myself into
i don’t need this. i’ve dug myself a hole and now have no clue how to fix things. as a result, i’m ignoring the situation which makes me feel like even more of a bitch. why can’t everything be simple and straighforward?
